Restorative experiences through culture, nature, and the five senses

Retreats, workshops, group journeys, and tailored experiences shaped by local expertise and meaningful connection.

Reawaken Your Senses.

What is Five Senses Retreats?

Based in Finland, we work with local experts in wellbeing, food, music, culture, nature, and craft to design retreats, workshops, group journeys, and tailored experiences guided by the five senses, both in Finland and abroad.

Experience Through the Five Senses

Depending on the experience, season, and location, this might mean:

Touch: Feel the reverberation of kantele strings under your fingers, the warmth of herbal sauna steam, or the cool of a lake plunge.

Sound: Listen to traditional instruments, forest silence, and the crackle of a teepee fire.

Sight: Notice seasonal light through photography, craft, landscape, and the visual traditions of different cultures.

Taste: Forage Nordic berries, prepare kimchi, taste regional teas, or explore local fermentation traditions.

Smell: Breathe in pine, wild herbs, and woodsmoke—the scents of a forest.

Teams and Private Groups

We create guided wellbeing days, cultural workshops, and private retreats for onboarding, team offsites, team building, and incentive trips. Experiences can combine nature, shared meals, creative practice, movement, and meaningful time to reconnect.

Our summer retreat took place in the heart of the Finnish forest — a landscape of lakes, silence, sauna, fire, and open sky. We partnered again with Haltia Lake Lodge, an award-winning hotel & glamping resort, to host the experience.

Why

Why Five Senses Retreats?

Because modern life leaves little room to slow down, notice, and connect more deeply with a place, with others, or with ourselves.

We create thoughtfully paced experiences shaped by local expertise, nature, culture, and the five senses.

The result is space to reconnect, discover something new, and return with renewed energy and perspective.

Who is Five Senses Retreats for?

Who

Five Senses Retreats is for people who value thoughtful pacing, local culture, nature, and experiences that engage the senses rather than simply fill the schedule.

We provide a different way to slow down, connect, and experience a place more deeply.

Kati

Entrepreneur

My mind was running on overdrive. There were so many things that "needed" to be done. Five Senses Retreats helped me to slow down and focus on things that brought me calmness, clarity, and energy.
I felt genuinely revived.

Five Senses Retreats is a rare concept in Finland: beautifully curated, deeply intentional, and built around something modern travelers need — stillness, presence, and a chance to reconnect with themselves through nature.
